What We’re All About

St. Ann’s College for Women established by the congregation of the sisters of St. Ann in 1983 is an institution oriented towards the cause of need-based education, aiming at optimum growth. The motto of the college is “Light of life.” The motto signifies the long term vision of the institution to spread light through the medium of education to dispel the darkness of ignorance and doubt. Since its inception the college has grown from strength to strength adding each year new courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Two milestones bear testimony to the sustained efforts made by the institution in maintaining high standards of excellence – the college has been accorded A grade by NAAC and has been designated as “College with potential for Excellence” (CPE) by the UGC.

As a next step forward the college has decided to give more focus on research oriented activities. The college is providing various types of incentives to the faculty to go ahead with their research works.  Now, college like to provide a platform for researchers to bring their research works into the public through publications through the e-journal ‘AnnQuest’.  Without limiting it to a particular subject, we are making an attempt to provide an opportunity for any researcher in humanities, social sciences, and applied and pure sciences to publish their works.
